About Me

I am an experienced director with over 2 decades in the UK Higher Education sector and a successful career at the Open University; the largest University in the UK with c. 170,000 distance learning students worldwide.

As Director of Student Success and responsible for improving University wide retention, progression and completion, I led on tactical and strategic change to transform the student experience and improve the end to end student journey.

As Director of Business Performance Improvement (BPI), I created and led an internal consulting team specialising in lean methodology to identify and implement changes to process, structures and technology across the whole spectrum of University academic and professional services operations.

Since 2019 I have provided strategic and programme management support, advice and consultancy services to HEIs and other organisations using my considerable experience of HE and senior leadership.

With a strong track record delivering complex business change and transforming services and the user experience, I can  quickly assess and understand new opportunities and how technology and process innovation can be leveraged to improve performance and add value.

A clear and passionate communicator, rapidly building trust and credibility with peers, teams and customers, I keep sight on both the big strategic picture and the all-important detail.
